Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Expertise

Business Meeting

Practice Consultation

If your looking to refine your hospital's organization, let's get in touch to discuss how I can help you implement better systems for your practice. This could include creating an emergency receiving area, improving your treatment area's flow, evaluating staff scheduling to improve coverage, discussing how to take a team approach to communication strategies, and auditing of medical records for appropriate record keeping, nursing care, and capturing of services rendered.

Continuing Education

Continuing education is a professional development requirement for all veterinary professionals. I strongly believe in elevating staff professional growth and learning, which is why I became a RACE Provider (#1271). As an educator and national/international conference speaker, I enjoy teaching and connecting with veterinary technicians/nurses to improve their knowledge about emergency and critical care related topics. Rather than send your staff to a conference event, I can provide a customized RACE-approved learning experience in-house for your team. Get in touch to learn more about scheduling a CE event.

Training & Development

My services are customized to meet the specific needs of each veterinary team and practice. Training can be provided to learn about a new service your practice wants to implement, refresher information about technical and nursing skills and procedures, new hire skills checklists and assessment methods, and creation of standard operating procedures to improve nursing care standards and patient care. I work collaboratively throughout the entire training process to ensure thorough understanding of concepts and opportunities for practical application. Get in touch today to find out how I can help .

RECOVER CPR Certification

Learn how to be prepared to initiate life-saving CPR when the unthinkable happens. RECOVER stands for the Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation and was established in 2012 in order to provide evidence-based guidelines regarding veterinary CPR. RECOVER created veterinary CPR certification in basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) and is available to the entire veterinary team. As a RECOVER Certified BLS and ALS Instructor, I can provide RECOVER BLS and ALS Rescuer certification to your team using a combination of didactic and simulation training. To learn more about the RECOVER initiative, visit www.recoverinitiative.org. To find out more about how certification works, get in touch.

Relief Shift Coverage

As an experienced RVT and ECC specialist, my advanced skill and knowledge means I'm ready to immediately join your team on the treatment floor. Whether you have regular open shifts that need filling, have staff vacation request that need to be covered, or are in need of coverage for maternity/paternity leave, I can help fill in scheduling gaps. Get in touch to find out my availability to address your staffing needs.
